So, you know how sometimes people will send you comments and shite that has awesome fonts and colors that make it look
totally awesome?
Well, I am here to teach you how to make magic, my little lovies.
So, first let's talk about changing the text of your text.
There are bajillions of fonts, but only 5 fonts are "web-safe", meaning they will work on ANY computer.
These fonts are:
Courier New
Arial
Georgia
Times New Roman
and Verdana
To make your text any one of these fonts, type in and write the text you want to be that font. Then, when you're finished writing
what you want to say, close it with a . For
example, if I were to type in HiHiHi! Je
Suis Z! Je suis un polyglotte!
would turn in to... HiHiHi! Je Suis Z! Je
suis un polyglotte!
Awesome, eh? :3
So, suppose you want your font bigger or smaller? As long as you can count, you can do this simple as pie
Every graphic on the computer is made out of pixels. Even text. How
big you want your text depends on how many pixels you specify. one pixel is teeny! seven pixels are big! and
0 pixels is not-there!
So, to make your text the size you
want, simply type in YOUR TEXT HERE!
Any number ((aside from negatives)) can be used to make the text the size you
want. but please don't be obnoxious and make your font gigantic just to be a pissant :)
So, do you have a link to something that you want to make clickable? Easy.
So, first, you will need a URL, which is the place on the internet that something is located
((i.e., a website, a picture, a song, bla bla bla)). Let's use this website for an example. I would type in To make clickable text like this, you'd put in whatever you want people to click on. Watch and learn Awesome
:D
turns in to...
Awesome ***IMPORTANT!*** make sure it's the WHOLE URL ((meaning that you include http:// in the link)) otherwise it won't work
:)
So, do you have pictures you want to put on your page? AWESOME. But...how do you get them on there?
Basically, all you need is a photo uploader, which is VERY easy to come by. The most popular one
is Photobucket, which is free and very handy. Another popular one is TinyPic, which is perfect for smaller URLs, seeing as it doesnt include the file name you gave the picture in the URL. It's also
perfect for picture captions, which we will get to later.
First, sign up for Photobucket if you haven't already. If you have, you'll probably have
a decent idea of how to get your pictures on there. But how to get them on your page?
Copy the section under your picture that says "image URL". Go to the text that you want the picture
in. type in and put the image URL in the quotation marks without
spaces. If you want your picture to be a link, you'd simply put that where you'd put the clickable text in a link.
So, suppose you have a picture on myspace that you want a picture instead of words for the caption.
Simply upload your picture to TinyPic, and put the image code in to the caption box. If you upload to Photobucket, it will
be too long and won't fit.
